Tonight?
Hope builds, a crescendo
wild and untamed
Before it can be contained
by the stone walls I call
my heart.
Tonight?
The urge to see your face once more,
the cravings grow stronger
My personal drug
has done me in again.
Yes, tonight.
My pulse quickens
Pounding in my ears
Pupils dilate
in ecstasy.
How can this be?
Tonight!
Run away with thoughts unchecked
sneak away in the night
to where
I pay my drug handsomely
and he handsomely pays me back.
Alone.
A sorrowful existence,
painted with blank lines
and muted shades of grey.
Floating endlessly.
Isolated.
Slowly sinking.
The water plays tricks on the mind,
a sky of flailing bubbles and warped smiles
constant motion, clutter, but we're beneath that now.
Sinking.
Cold.
Alive.
Kicking hard, breaking the watery sky
Gasping shock.
Breathing in deeply.
Expanding.
Shiver blue, giggle gold,
blush red and bleed green.
Dance with the palette
and with the artist's brush.
Sun in our skin
We begin
to feel
again.
Caught in a sea of roses.
Sweet, faint perfume.
Sweet as the memories.
Faint as the memories.
Fading, fading, to white.
Blank white slates.
Caught in a sea of roses.
Turn to pick a new memory
But thorns remind the new of old
A sharp, stinging pain
Brief as a short-lived candle,
Burning as the flame.
Caught in a sea of roses.
Droplets of red on white
Staining slates of gold
Brewing storms of old
Teardrops on satin cheeks.
Bells echo in the cave.
Caught in a sea of roses.
They catch my skin
Clinging, stinging, pain
I wade through the crowd
Desperate breaths on cold air
Sharp as a rose's thorn.
Caught in a sea of roses,
There's love inside my heart, I swear,
Just sometimes it's not always there.
When I said I loved you, swear, it's true,
Obviously I meant so little to you.
How can you lie, so sweet, so fine,
When you're hanging from your pants,
From a telephone line?
Forever means nothing, never real,
How can I tell you how I feel?
Hearts rip, they break, my fragile bird
Screaming and screaming and never is heard.
Such a simple, simple, sweet little plan.
Foolish to think that you were my man.
But how can you lie, so sweet, so fine,
When you're hanging from your pants,
From a telephone line?
Forever means nothing, never real,
How can I show
Tonight?
Hope builds, a crescendo
wild and untamed
Before it can be contained

my heart.

So I have rediscovered deviantart again, and my passion to write. Don't expect anything super fast from me, but at least I'm going to be trying to be on this site more, and I'll try not to just drop off the face of the earth again! My bad, I apologize for my atrocious behavior. That said, I look forward to sifting through my message box and deviantart notifications, I hope to catch up on all your missed work, and once again, SORRY FOR ABANDONING YOU!
That is all.

For each of the 18 first people answering this journal I will put his/her avatar and the three deviations I like most from his/her gallery on the list.
IMPORTANT: If you answer, you'll have to do the same in your journal, putting me on the first place, completing the list with 17 other people. The idea of this is not to get a free feature, it is to spread art around for everyone. I will check whether or not you have done this.

Hey everyone! I know I haven't been very active over the last while, but I've been busy. Yes, i know, hard to believe I actually have a life, right? Well think again!
So anyway, instead of ranting about all the things that have been keeping be busy and on my toes, I have an announcement. My book, The Heat of the Fire....sucks. You (whoever YOU are) may have a mixed opinion, but I've been looking back on it and I'm ashamed. So I took a long look at it....and decided to scrap it all. I am now going to re-write my favourite book. Because I simply couldn't get rid of it altogether. I love the general storyline and I love the characters way too m
